The anonymous project has inaugurated its own self-titled label.
Route 94 has just released its first EP.
The shadowy entity first started popping up in sets by the likes of Skream and Benga last year, though has remained strictly anonymous since the project's emergence. Some have speculated that Route 94 is just a pseudonym for an established producer, but we still have no concrete information other than that the artist hails from the UK. Mostly sticking to the house template, a press release describes the first EP as dark and incorporating "strands of stark tech-house and minimal, the gauzy glow of US deep house and the powerful bass weight that’s currently infecting London floors." Fly 4 LIfe will also mark the start for Route 94's new self-titled imprint.
