Monty Luke tops the bill at Refract's first anniversary

- The Chicago monthly will celebrate a year of operation at Primary next weekend.
- Monty Luke will visit Chicago next Friday to headline Refract's first anniversary bash at Primary. The monthly series, presented by Bad Advice, Inc., has been host to a range of house and techno talent since first setting up shop at Primary a year ago—shortly after the club, located in the Gold Coast neighborhood, first opened its doors (Primary held its own birthday party last month). Berlin's Rampa and Brooklyn-based Titonton Duvanté count among Refract's out-of-town guests, while Windy City fixtures like Mazi, Sassmouth and Orchard Lounge have also appeared behind the decks. Headlining honors for next weekend's anniversary bash goes to Luke, the Detroit-based producer, DJ and label manager of Carl Craig's Planet E who also runs his own imprint Black Catalogue. Local support, as usual, will be handled by Refract residents Duke Shin and Merrick Brown. Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
