- The Shapednoise and Violet Poison collaboration will release another EP of reworks in August.
A second round of Violetshaped remixes will be released on August 29th.
Violetshaped is the project of Italian producer Shapednoise and Violet Poison, who also runs a record label of the same name. That imprint released the duo's debut album of noisy, industrial-tinged techno earlier this year, which RA's Paul Clarke likened to "being crushed in a vice."
The Remixes Part 2 is the second EP of reworks taken from the album, but it's only the first since the record came out. Part 1, which featured Roly Porter, Kangding Ray and Vatican Shadow, actually dates all the way back to last summer, well before the album was even announced. The new EP will feature three more tracks, this time focusing on the more experimental end of things, with synth maestro Keith Fullerton Whitman, metal pioneer and Godflesh member Justin Broadrick and Raster-Noton's Grischa Lichtenberger all contributing their own takes.
