The German duo's latest album is due for release in November.
Booka Shade have a new album on the way this November called Eve.
It's the veteran German duo's first album since 2010's More, and it's the first full-length they haven't released through Get Physical Music. (Along with co-founder DJ T., they're no longer owners of the label, as was discussed in this past week's Exchange.) According to the press release, Booka Shade almost didn't survive the recording process—they nearly split up during the first half of the album sessions. Regrouping at Manchester's Eve studios, they found enough new inspiration that they named the album after where it was recorded. Eve features guest appearances from Fritz Kalkbrenner and Azari & III member Fritz Helder, and Andy Cato from Groove Armada stops in to play trombone. The album will be preceded by the Lil Louis-sampling single "Love Inc," which is set for release on October 18th.
Booka Shade will be launching the album in London with a live set at Oval Space on November. Tickets for the event go on sale here on RA from Wednesday, September 18th.
