  • Native Instruments has pulled back the curtains on Maschine Studio, the latest in its software-driven groovebox line. A few of Maschine Studio's enhancements are apparent at first glance. For one, it's noticeably larger than the original Maschine, with a more rectangular shape making room for a new edit section (with a jog wheel) in the front and more MIDI connectivity in the back. On the underside, you'll find a collapsible stand that lets you prop the unit up at an angle on your desk. Maschine Studio also sports a pair of high-resolution, full-color displays that should have you looking up at your computer screen considerably less. See it in action in the video below. Studio arrives at the same time as an overhaul of Maschine's software. It comes with a host of new features, like a plug-in strip, a dedicated mixer page, an upgraded audio engine and five new drum synths. The software update works with the original Maschine at the smaller Maschine Mikro as well, and anyone who purchases either of those products between now and November 1st will be able to download it for free once it's available.
Native Instruments will release Maschine Studio on November 1st, 2013 at a suggested retail price of $999 or 999 Euro.
