- The Magazine labelhead and Kompakt regular's third album is due out on his eponymous label next month.
The third album from Popnoname, 50°, is set for November release via PNN.
Born Jens-Uwe Beyer, the Cologne-based producer has a hand in a number of projects, including the band Cologne Tape and the label Magazine. He formed PNN earlier this year (with help from Kompakt's Gesine Schönrock) when he released Change, the first single off this new full-length. An album of "elegant, accommodating, direct hi-fi pop," 50° was recorded with Bertil Mark, who also plays drums in Popnoname's live band. The album's cover art features Bodo, who the press release describes as a former bottle collector who "is now running a trust based shop near the PNN offices."
