  • The next round of St John Sessions will kick off on November 7th. The experimental series, which takes place every month in the church of St John-at-Hackney, started back in June with a live performance by William Basinski—since then the likes of Nils Frahm, Tim Hecker, Vessel and Actress have all performed. Next up is a show on Thursday, November 7th, with revered ambient producer Biosphere topping the bill. He'll be joined by UK techno head Perc and live duo EQLS, whose show incorporates a mix of analogue synths, guitar, looped samples and field recordings. That will be followed by another gig on Thursday, December 5th, featuring Wolfgang Voigt. The Kompakt co-founder will present his Rückverzauberung project, which is billed as an advancement of his modern classical work as Gas. He'll be supported on the night by Marcus Schmickler and sound poet Marsen Jules. Tickets to the events are available here on RA.
