- We'll be heading to Panama City, Lima, Playa Del Carmen and Mexico City as part of our Horizons series.
Dixon will headline a four-date RA Horizons tour of Latin America, kicking off on November 14th.
Following previous Horizons parties in cities like El Paso, Cape Town, Vancouver, Nagoya, Shanghai and Oslo, the upcoming events in Panama, Peru and Mexico will be our first in Latin America. The Horizons series is all about shining the light on emerging dance scenes across the world, and the promoters that make them tick. For this tour we've invited Dixon to play all four dates. The Innervisions boss, who landed the number three spot in our 2012 DJ poll, is enjoying a vintage year. In keeping with the other aim of the Horizons series—to bring artists to fans for the first time— three of these events (Panama City, Lima and Mexico City) will mark his first ever performance in those cities.
The parties will go down at a range of venues that reflect the variety of Latin America, including a movie set warehouse, beachside resort and refurbished theatre. First up is a bash at Panama City's Teatro Amador on Thursday, November 14th, which will be followed by a party at an intimate TBA location in Lima on the 15th.
Next is our Mexico City showcase, on Saturday, November 16th, which will take place at a downtown venue. That one will be held with the help of local promoters GetMove, who are known for hosting events at secret locations across the city. The tour then wraps up on 17th at the Canibal Royal Beach Club in Playa Del Carmen, with Dixon playing a Sunday beachside event where partygoers can dance in the sand, not far from where the annual BPM festival takes place.
