- The Nigerian funk and Afrobeat pioneers will get the retrospective treatment this month.
Voodoo Funk will reissue Money by Nath & Martin Brothers on November 25th.
The Nigerian funk and Afrobeat outfit recorded the album at Ginger Baker's ARC studio in Lagos, before it was mixed down in London at Tin Pan Alley Studios. Voodoo Funk—a label dedicated to dusting off '70s and '80s African rarities, distributed by Honest Jon's Records—remastered the original LP at Abbey Road in London. Original copies of Money were hard to come by, making them hot property for collectors of African records. A press release describes the LP as "the Martins at their deepest and heaviest—tearing, wailing, mid-'70s funk, heady with spirituality."
