H-Foundation in the Producer Playpen

RA and Zoom Artist Management are presenting Hipp-E and Halo's (H-Foundation) upcoming Australian Tour. And the boys are here not only to provide some quality music but to promote their Australian inspired ‘Destinations’ CD released exclusively through EQ. After their previous national tour, earlier this year in June, their September dates are looking to be a highlight of many calanders.

Whilst in the studio in Byron Bay RA tracked the lads down in between cutting up loops and samples for their next project and invited them to take a seat in RA’s Producer Playpen. If you have any questions that you would like to ask these west-coast house gurus then hit the link below and fire away.

Thu, 26 Sep 2002well its good to hear that there are at least a few nights happening. maybe it'll continue to grow in the underground before becoming widely recognised. that's certainly been the case here in london and the uk. its really emerging as the dominant house sound at the moment....possibly thanks to fabric's music policy....but more so because of a dedicated bunch of label owners, djs and promoters.i'll certainly be bringing my passion for it home soon!

Thu, 26 Sep 2002Sadly tech-house is a genre which has really died in Melbourne over the years. It's shame, as it's one of my absolute favourite music genres. My ultimate regular tech-house haunts (now extinct):- Phreakin @ Mansion (those were the days!)- Logic @ Seven- Curve (I think this is what it was called) @ RevolverThere's still nights surfacing here and there, but they just dont attract the crowds they once did.

Thu, 26 Sep 2002i dont think you could say that there is. I really dig tech house and I was in a state when i got to WA and went to Ambar and heard all this awesome tech n deep house there, and radio show on RTRFM devoted to it, and then Complex records - a whole store full of the goodness. I dont think we have a thing on Perth when i comes to tech/deep house. That said, if you know your djs and pick your nights you will find some. eg Jeff Tyler plays it, you can hear it at Groovejet (tho i dont know if this... More
