The Detroit master—plus Raresh and Rhadoo, Ellen Allien and a host of Richie Hawtin-affiliated acts—are joining in at Playa del Carmen next month.
BPM Festival has added a handful of new names to its 2014 edition, scheduled for January 3rd through 12th in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
First up is Theo Parrish, the legendary Detroit selector and producer. (He's been brought in to share headlining duties with DJ Harvey, who made the previous announcement.) Richie Hawtin's day-into-night ENTER. showcase has also been firmed up, with the Minus chief joined by Matador, South London Ordnance, Dense & Pika, Gaiser, a back-to-back from Adam Beyer & Ida Engberg and a handful of others. Boysnoize Records and BPitch Control will also host showcases, with their respective label bosses, Boys Noize and Ellen Allien, heading them up. Romania will be well represented by Raresh, Rhadoo, Behrouz and Cezar. Some notably big names—Basement Jaxx, Dennis Ferrer, Mark Farina and Felix Da Housecat—round out this announcement.
