The Frenchman will put out a 12-inch on the Chicago label in February 2014.
Laurent Garnier will release the first instalment in a new series of EPs on Still Music in February.
AF 0490 has been produced as Garnier—the first time the Frenchman has used that alias—and contains three tracks inspired by vintage Chicago labels like Trax and Dance Mania, and touching on house, techno and even some footwork. It's the first in a series from Garnier that will be released across a number of different labels, a plan the Frenchman first spoke about in a recent RA Exchange.
The collaboration with Still Music dates back to summer 2013. when Garnier met with label boss Jerome Derradji while he was DJing at Smart Bar in Chicago. The title for AF 0490 comes from the name of a flight from Paris to Chicago.
