  • Hunee will headline the first Changes party of 2014 at Smart Bar in Chicago on Friday, January 31st. The Korean-born DJ and Rush Hour Recordings artist, who relocated from Berlin to LA last year, will be helping to get Changes started at a new home. The party, which will take place on a quarterly basis at Smart Bar, was previously based at Beauty Bar, where its guests included the likes of Chicago Skyway, Jamie 3:26 and Zernell Gillie, though it's been on a hiatus since the middle of last year. Aside from the switch in venues, the concept behind Changes remains the same. There'll still be an emphasis on vinyl DJs, and an open-ended music policy covering house, disco, industrial, italo and more, to go with the traditional free shot at midnight. Samone, the creator of Changes and also a member of the Hugo Ball troupe, will continue as the night's resident selector, and rounding out the lineup at this launch event is one more Chicago DJ, Shazam Bangles. Tickets to Changes are available on RA.
