- The 10-track LP will come out through Ki Records in March.
Colo have announced full details of their debut album, UR.
Cologne-based imprint Ki Records will put out the LP, which follows on from 7-inch single "Holidays," released in December. Theat song opens the full-length, which explores London duo Nick Smith and Ben Corr's textured, song-like approach to production. Crafted without samples or shortcuts, all the elements were recorded live, leaving the blemishes in to give the project a rough feel. Smith's vocals, which are often improvised, feature heavily across the 10 tracks. According to the press release, on "Doorframe" he uses a microphone from a video games console, "with little concern given to the ambient noise present." Two other tracks—"The View From Nowhere" and "Aubade"—will be released as singles.
