The Berlin company will be rolling out its DAW at NAMM this weekend.
Bitwig Studio will launch on March 26th, 2014.
The DAW has been simmering in development for quite some time. We earmarked it as a product to watch from last year's NAMM Show, but its Berlin-based makers had still kept the lid on pretty tight over the past year. This year's event—happening this weekend in Anaheim, California—will find Bitwig making the final push on their music software, which combines Ableton Live-style workflow with some interesting touches, like allowing for multiple audio events within clips. In addition to finalizing its release date and outlining its full list of features (you can find those here), Bitwig has set a retail price: $399 (or €299) for the download, and a bit more if you want the box. They've also floated Nektar, Livid Instruments and Novation as the first companies whose products will offer "deep integration" with Bitwig Studio.
Bitwig Studio will be released on March 26th, 2014, for a suggested retail price of $449 / €329 for a physical copy and $399 / €299 for the download.
