  • Heavyocity has introduced a "groove designer" rhythm plug-in called the DM-307. The New York City-based sound designers have packed around 7 GB worth of samples into the virtual instrument, which have been worked into over 200 playable presets and 1200 beat-sliced loops. Users can also create their own beats from the raw materials provided. There are also a number of tools on board to get the samples moving. It features a new sequencer Heavyocity is calling the Grid, plus a cache of effects. Also on board is the Loop Manipulator, which opens up the loops to all sorts of tweaks. The DM-307 is run through Native Instruments' Kontakt platform, the player for which is available for free. You can check out Heavyocity's teaser video for the instrument below:
Heavyocity will release the DM-307 on February 11th, 2014, for an estimated retail price of $299.
