- The former Hype Williams producer has a new record called Black Metal in the works for the iconic UK label.
Dean Blunt has signed to Rough Trade and has a new record on the way called Black Metal.
It hasn't been revealed if Black Metal is an album or a single, but it is due to arrive some time in 2014. A video was posted over the weekend of a track called "Mersh," along with a few basic details. Having called time on the Hype Williams project, Blunt already has one official album under his belt, The Redeemer, which came out last year on Hippos In Tanks (that was followed by a free digital full-length called Stone Island in August 2013). The news comes a week on from the announcement of a debut solo album from Blunt's former Hype Williams partner Inga Copeland (now known as copeland).
