  • Unsound have revealed plans to release a range of perfumes. The festival is teaming up with Berlin-based perfume maker Geza Schoen to create three scents—Bass, Noise and Drone—based on musical genres. The project is called Ephemera, and also features three producers—Tim Hecker, Kode9 and Ben Frost—creating music for Drone, Bass and Noise respectively. "Their music has inspired Geza in the creation of the scents, which in turn has affected further development of music made by the artists," Unsound's Malgorzata Plysa says. The project will commence on March 31st at Unsound New York, where there will be a "scent, sound, [and] visual" installation. This will be followed by more installations, with the main showcase taking place at Unsound's flagship event in Krakow, Poland, this October. Unsound say the perfumes will be bottled and made available to buy later this year.
