- The Argentinean producer's collection of 'musical bedtime stories' will see release in May.
Guti has a new album on the way called Rompecorazones.
The 12-track LP will be pressed onto double-vinyl. According to a press release, it blends a variety of different styles—including jazz, electronica, ambient and blues—and draws its inspiration from Guti's move to Europe from South America five years ago. The title translates as "heart-breaker," and the producer himself describes the record as a collection of "musical bedtime stories."
"I have so many things to say about what has happened in the last five years," Guti says. "I gave my heart to each song, so the album is statement of who I am and what's inside my heart: it's my way of staying true to myself, my story, my background." Guti's friend Miguel de Ipola features on Rompecorazones, and most of the songs were recorded in one take.
