  • The next Tunnel Vision event in Brooklyn will happen this Friday, April 11th. It'll take place at Shea Stadium, and it'll be the first big event outside Tunnel Vision's regular haunt, Bossa Nova. Ital, Lori Napoleon and Greg Z are the minds behind the series, which is focused on experimentally laced electronics—or as Ital puts it, "heavy, spiraling, mercurial throb"—and this one will see JTC (James T. Cotton), a veteran purveyor of jacking, acidic house, taking a turn on the decks, as well as Container unleashing his noisy techno with a live set. The night will also showcase Ital's imprint Lovers Rock. San Francisco's Earthen Sea, whose sprawling Mirage EP came out on the label back in February, will be flying in for a live set, and the label boss himself will play live as well. Completing the program is a DJ set from Aurora Halal. She recently launched a label named after her own party Mutual Dreaming, and she's teamed up with Ital as Ital & Halal for a record called The Day After that will drop on Lovers Rock on April 28th. Tickets to the party are available here on RA.
