- The percussion-loving duo will release their second LP in April.
Ninos Du Brasil will release an album through Dominick Fernow's Hospital Productions on April 21st.
Novos Mistérios will be Nicolò Fortuni and Nico Vascellari's second LP, following 2012's Muito N.D.B.. Though their name and music invokes the spirit and flair of Brazil, the pair hail from Italy and are currently based near Venice. Both Fortuni and Vascellari have a background in performance art, indie and punk—Vascellari is still an in-demand visual artist—something that's evident in their high-octane live shows.
Vascellari has a close relationship with Fernow: he's released several records from the prolific US artist through his own Von Editions label, and has booked him to perform at the Coda Lunga venue in Vittorio Veneto near Venice. Novos Mistérios sees Ninos Du Brasil exploring their passion for live drums, mixing "techno and punk with bespoke Batacuda carnival rhythms" according to a press release. In addition to this LP, the duo also have a 12-inch coming on New York label DFA.
