Sven Väth headlines Electric Island opener in Toronto

- The festival series will take over Toronto's Centre Island every long weekend this summer, starting on Victoria Day.
- Toronto's Electric Island will open for 2014's summer season this coming Victoria Day, May 19th. The festival series happens in the park on Toronto's Centre Island at the end of every long weekend during the summer. A ferry operates from downtown to the festival site, and the setup also features special food and drink trucks, offering the "ultimate picnic vibe" according to the festival. The season opener features Ibiza mainstay Sven Väth in the headlining slot, along with Berlin-based Irishman Mano Le Tough and fabric regular Daniel Avery. They'll be supported by locals Jamie Kidd, Rafwat & Chorniy and Jonathan Rosa. Details for the other 2014 editions have yet to be announced. Check out Avery's recent Essential Mix below.
