- The Lakker member is next in Stroboscopic Artefacts' long-running EP series.
Ian McDonnell, AKA Eomac, will release the 17th edition of Stroboscopic Artefacts' Monad series on June 23rd.
The digital-only Monad concept was started up by the Italian label back in 2010 as a chance for artists to experiment, usually involving one ambient or experimental track, one more breakbeat-style track and two straight-up club cuts, all by commission only. Recent participants have included Rrose, Tommy Four Seven and Lakker, of which Eomac is a member. This will be McDonnell's first proper solo release on Stroboscopic (after a remix of label boss Lucy this past January), and it also comes in the wake of his debut full-length Spectre on Killekill. True to form for both Monad and Eomac, the release has two off-kilter techno bangers, a venture into broken rhythms ("DF4") and a spoken-word track called "We Are All Going To Die."
