- The young Canadian producer will release his first album through 1080p
Khotin will drop his debut album Hello World on July 1st.
Dylan Khotin-Foote is a young artist from Edmonton, Alberta, who has racked up releases on smaller local concerns like Normals Welcome and Common Edit so far. Now his music is moving West for a release on the BC-based 1080p Collection label, which will handle his first full-length. Made using mostly hardware—including classic Roland machines like the 606, 707 and SH-101—Hello World is a laid-back and occasionally childlike affair, with "loose themes of flight and brightness" and a "bedroom pop sensibility" according to the label. It features a collaboration with Boston's Via App, and it'll come in cassette form, (as usual for 1080p) as well as digital.
