- The Modularz label chief's debut album comprises 25 floor-focused club tracks.
Developer's debut album, In Pure Form, will arrive on July 7th through Modularz.
The producer, real name Adrian Sandoval, has been part of the LA techno scene for more than two decades. In Pure Form, which features material made over the past year, is Sandoval's first LP. He's released nearly 30 EPs in the past six years—most of those have come through his own label, Modularz, though he's also appeared on esteemed techno outlets like Semantica and Mote-Evolver.
In Pure Form is very much focussed on the dance floor, with the label promising "a massive selection of functional tracks direct from the Developer factory of techno." This functionality extends to the tracklist: all 25 cuts are labelled "In Pure Form," kicking off with "In Pure Form 1" and running through to "In Pure Form 25." The vinyl version features the first 12 cuts, while the remaining 13 appear on the digital LP. Sound-wise, you can expect the kind of raw, tunnelling rhythms Sandoval is known for.
