  • Deadbeat has plans to release his first three LPs through BLKRTZ. The albums—Wild Life Documentaries, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and New World Observer were each released through Pole's now-defunct ~scape label in 2002, 2004 and 2005 respectively. They were all out of print, and Deadbeat (born Scott Monteith) recently realised he didn't have vinyl copies of any of them at his home in Berlin. "This was particularly disturbing to me," he writes, as the three albums, released during the period when Monteith was coming into his own as Deadbeat, "have always held a uniquely special place in my heart." He's calling on his fans, via the crowdfunding site Indiegogo, to help him bring the albums back into circulation. A six-LP vinyl boxset is the pièce de résistance of the reissue project, and it's yours with a €75 contribution to the campaign. Perks include remastered digital copies of the albums (€25), a USB key featuring the entire Deadbeat back catalog (€250) and even a Deadbeat live performance (€1,000). Monteith has posted the albums in question to his SoundCloud, and you can stream them below.
