  • A 23-year-old man has been charged by US federal prosecutors in relation to the death of Jeffrey Russ at last year's Electric Zoo Festival in New York. According to The New York Times, Patrick Morgan was arrested in Buffalo this week for allegedly selling the drugs that led to Russ's death in 2013. Prosecutors say Morgan sold around 80 pills to Russ and his friends. The Times writes that Morgan is being charged with narcotics distribution and narcotics conspiracy. The maximum sentence in prison for both charges is 20 years. Another person, 20-year-old Olivia Rotondo, also died at the festival, causing promoters to call off the event's third day. This death isn't being linked to Morgan. This year's Electric Zoo Festival will take place on Randall's Island in New York from August 29th through 31st. As previously reported, promoters Made Event have stated that fan safety is a top priority, promising "additional safety measures" this year.
