  • The next Peaking Lights album, Cosmic Logic, will come out on Domino Records sublabel Weird World in October. Husband-and-wife duo Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis have released a string of albums in different shapes and sizes over the past six years, exploring elements of house, dub and psychedelia. Cosmic Logic is their first full-length since 2012's Lucifer. (The same year also saw a dub version of that album come out, Lucifer In Dub.) Recorded in the duo's newly-built LA studio and mixed by Matt Thornley of DFA, Cosmic Logic sees the duo explore a pop-friendly stew of dub, krautrock, minimal house and disco. The album will come out on vinyl, CD and digital formats—the deluxe vinyl version comes with a limited edition bonus 12-inch featuring two Peaking Lights remixes: "BreakDUB" and "Bad With The Good Euromix." "Peaking Lights' whole thing has always been based on an idea of 'Fucked Modern Pop' but exactly what that is, we don’t know—we’re still trying to figure that out," says Coyes.
