The Scissor & Thread duo will release their debut album—in both digital format and as three vinyl EPs—in November.
Francis Harris and Anthony Collins will drop their first full-length together as Frank & Tony on November 17th.
The two New York-based producers first hooked up back in 2012, launching the Frank & Tony project as well as their own Scissor & Thread label (which has also been home to close associates Bob Moses and Black Light Smoke). After racking up six well-received Frank & Tony EPs—with a style described as "haunting yet warm house music" by RA's Greg Sawyer—the duo have finished a full-length called You Go Girl, which will be released over three separate vinyl EPs in the lead-up to a full digital release on November 17th. You will hit on October 20th, Go on November 3rd and Girl on the 17th. Both formats come with their own exclusive tracks.
If Harris & Collins' previous work is anything to go by,You Go Girl will be smoky deep house affair leaning on organic sounds. As usual, there are vocals and live instruments, with Beirut guitarist Jason Poranski and frequent collaborator Gry both appearing on the LP. You Go Girl also features a collaboration with DJ Sprinkles, who contributed a remix to Harris's RA Recommended solo album from earlier this year.
