  • Daniel Wang will headine a San Francisco party presented by Rong Music on September 26th. The US-born disco scholar decamped for Berlin over ten years ago, but he still makes regular trips to the states to throw down animated, all-vinyl sets. He's known to play LA bar The Eagle, which hearkens back to Silver Lake's past as a gay stronghold, and his gig at Lookout in the Castro seems to be along the same lines. The event description refers to the bar's Funktion One sound and goes on to state that the indoor and outdoor space is, "is great for cruising or just vibing off the dance floor and scene." Wang will be joined by Rong Music head DJ Spun (AKA Jason Drummond), whose new project The Loose Control Band will release their debut EP on Golf Channel this fall. Honey Soundsystem co-founder Ken Vulsion and Ernie Cote round out the bill. Tickets to Rong Music Presents Danny Wang are available on RA.
