Anthony Parasole has revealed details of a forthcoming EP on Ostgut Ton.
Titled My Block, the three-track outing will be the New Yorker's first solo effort on the Berghain-affiliated label, having developed a close working relationship with the club in recent years. The EP has a bold percussive lean, born from Parasole "missing the feeling of tribalism in techno today," according to the press release. On "My Block" and "Typhoon," the focus is on multi-layered drum programming, while "Bizzare" has an eerier feel to it, influenced by hip-hop's "cut-up techniques", as well as "1970s horror movie trailers." The EP will hit the shelves in November, distributed by Kompakt.
