A new Lawrence album is on the way.
A Day In The Life is Peter Kersten's sixth LP, arriving one year on from Film & Windows. It's a largely ambient effort, and marks a ten-year friendship between Kersten, Toshiya Kawasaki (the man behind Mule Musiq) and the artist Stefan Marx. Marx's distinctive artwork adorns the sleeve of A Day In The Life, which was crafted while Kersten was on the road between DJ gigs.
Kersten describes the album as a "triple buddy record." He adds: "The three of us have worked together for ten years. This record shows this very nicely in terms of our love for ambient music and cover artwork. The cover shows Stefan's sublet apartment in New York, [which is] also a very ambient place. The idea for the record emerged out of a sudden inspiration and this fits perfect to the way Toshiya runs a label, where sharing a good natural wine is more important than marketing."
The album will come out via Mule on November 24th on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
