Ben Frost will release a new remix EP on December 9th.
V A R I A N T is a companion to this year's A U R O R A, Frost's most synthetic album yet and one that we said "takes the booming sound of dance music and twists it into something evil." Appropriately, some heady (and heavy) names have been chosen to rework tracks from the LP—Tri Angle's Evian Christ will take on "Venter," Regis provides a "Self Medicating Edit" of "Nolan" and Kangding Ray gets his hands on "No Sorrowing." There are also two more remixes of "Venter"—one from Australian post-punk band HTRK and another from all-around weirdo (and former Gang Gang Dance member) Dutch E Germ. The vinyl version of the EP will land in January 2015, a month later than the digital release.
