- The UK producer's first record in five years, Ra Ra Replica, will drop in December.
Token has announced details for a new EP, Ra Ra Replica, from UK veteran Makaton.
Makaton, real name Steve Bailey, became known for his heavy, industrialized take on techno through much of the '00s, putting out records mostly through his own imprint, Rodz-Konez. He was last in action on the production front in 2009, linking up with Token for an EP called Leave It All Behind—a track from which made it into label boss Kr!z's well-reviewed Token Introspective mix CD last year. Ending a five-year hiatus, Makaton is now set to return to the label with another four-tracker, Ra Ra Replica, which is due out in early December on vinyl and digital formats.
This upcoming release is the latest move for Token, which in recent months has also put out records from Surgeon and Rødhåd ahead of the Aphelion compilation that's set to drop next week.
