- The LP features collaborations with members of Earth and Oval and will arrive in late January.
Thrill Jockey will issue Jan St. Werner's Miscontinuum Album on January 27th, 2015.
The full-length is the third entry in St. Werner's conceptual Fiepbatter series. News of the release comes on the eve of Mouse On Mars' 21st year in existence. The record features Dylan Carlson (of Earth), Markus Popp (of Oval), Kathy Alberici and Taigen Kawabe (of Bo Ningen).
The recording was four years in the making. It was originally prepared for a live opera performance in Munich as well as a radio play. Popp, who works with St. Werner as Microstoria, wrote the libretti. The press release says: "The surreal plot involves a progressive distinction of time as a force rather than a structuring system, and an individual who can shift consciously between states within that force."
The piece's Munich staging occurred in June, airing on Bayerischer Rundfunk radio ten days later. A revised performance will occur at St Luke's Church in London on February 8th, 2015. Mouse On Mars will drop 21 Again, an anniversary collection featuring 23 new collaborations, on Monkeytown today (October 31st.)
