  • Robert Henke has a new Monolake EP, X I E, due out this month. X I E is the first studio release from Monolake—which has been home to most of Henke's techno-focused works over the years—since the 2012 album Ghosts. In the interim he's certainly kept busy with other projects, the laser-filled Lumière show being perhaps the most prominent. 2015 will see Henke present an updated Lumière performance, and on top of that, he's revealed initial information for his next moves as Monolake. According to a post on his website, Henke has planned a series of Monolake records on his Imbalance Computer Music imprint that will be combined into an album, as yet unnamed, which is scheduled to come out in early 2016. The new material will be used in Monolake sets that Henke describes as "deliberately non-visual"—and as usual with the project, the sets will be geared towards the dance floor. X I E, the first transmission of the series, is due to drop at some point this month, though a firm date hasn't been revealed. On a mellower tip, Henke recently posted a new ambient piece to his SoundCloud page, "EphemeralH3000SY77M4L," which you can stream below.
