Shlohmo has announced a record deal with True Panther and shared a new song ahead of his upcoming US tour.
Up until now, LA's Henry Laufer has released most of his material on hometown label Friends Of Friends, including his lauded 2011 LP Bad Vibes. Earlier this year, he released a collaborative EP with R&B singer Jeremih via his own Wedidit imprint, and now he's signed to New York's True Panther with a new LP in the pipeline. In the meantime, he's offered up new track "Emerge From Smoke," which a press release promises "highlights a darker electronic direction" for Shlohmo. The single will be released on vinyl and digital formats, and you can stream it below.
Laufer also has a comprehensive North American itinerary—his first fully live tour—kicking off March 31st in San Diego. From there, Shlohmo will travel through the South, up the East Coast, criss-cross through Canada and the Midwest and then finish off with a run down the West Coast, ending at home in LA at the Fonda on May 7th.
