  • Studio Spaces E1 will be able to open for 24 hours on as many as 40 occasions in 2015. The Wapping venue, operated by The Hydra, hasn't secured a full 24-hour license, but Tower Hamlets Council has granted an extension that means Studio Spaces can open for 24 hours on 20 occasions in 2015, plus an additional 20 occasions through the use of TENs (Temporary Event Notices)—a total of 40 nights. The news comes as a boost to London partygoers at a time when the city's club scene is on the ropes: Plastic People closed abruptly last weekend, while fabric is facing strict new security measures. The Hydra told RA: "Studio Spaces E1 and The Hydra have been working with Tower Hamlets authorities for the last two years to create a fully licensed, safe and reliable venue for people wanting to experience a late night music event. Great attention to detail has been placed with liaising with our neighbours and meeting the authorities requirements for a licensed premises."
