  • Slow To Speak will return with their annual Valentine's affair at the Good Room in Greenpoint on Friday, February 13th. Dope Jams proprietors Paul Nickerson and Francis Englehardt—AKA Slow To Speak—will head down from the Catskill Mountains next month, where they currently run the Preserved Instincts record shop. It will be their first NYC party in over a year, and the duo have hinted at the possibility of re-launching their storied LIFE residency as a recurring fixture at the newly christened nightclub. "Having resolved to exorcise the demons on a monthly basis," they say in a recent statement, "Paul and Francis are reactivating LIFE, to be inaugurated on February 13, 2015—Valentine's Day Eve." In addition to selections by Slow To Speak, the party will also host a "surprise live performance." Tickets for this event are available on RA.
