After 18 months of Saturday afternoons in Sydney’s inner west with their Monthly Fourplay parties, Beats and Peaces have announced that the final Fourplay will be held in March 2003.
Once a month sine July 2001, Beats and Peaces have hosted a very unique party called Fourplay at The Roxbury Hotel in Glebe. The event which focused on live music, DJs and art has gained a solid following and a reputation as a truly 'innovative' event in Sydney.
Fourplay has been host to an amazing array of talented live acts, DJs, artists and musicians since it started in July 2001. Some of the acts who have played include Katalyst, Professor Groove & the Booty Affair, dB Chills, Deep Child, Entropic, Tracky Dax, Multiball and Kinetic to name just a few.
Speaking via press release Promoter Glenn Hamilton had this to say:" We thought we were crazy starting a Saturday afternoon warm-up party with live music in a pub in Glebe when we started ... and we probably were. But we took a gamble and started this event which was the middle ground between a nightclub, a live music venue and a bar, we took the best elements of each and let the people do the rest. " In reference to why they are calling it quits Glenn also stated that they had “achieved everything we set out to achieve with Fourplay.”
Beats and Peaces have an abundance of plans for the future, with Glenns crystal ball exposing that the crew till “be taking a new direction with our music events and the major push is bringing the best emerging live acts from around Australia to Sydney and creating a truly exciting live music scene right here.”

The last 'normal' Fourplay will be held on Saturday 1st Feb and the final farewell ('Fourplay - The Climax') will take place on Saturday 1st March and will have a huge line-up of local DJ 's who have helped shape the identity of Fourplay.
