  • Berlin labels Funhaus and Lize Records will soon touch down at Hoppetosse for showcases. The imprints are both focussed on the minimal end of the house spectrum. Funhaus is the newer of the two, and will be celebrating its first birthday with a session on Friday, March 27th. Vera, Yakine and Michael Melchner are among the guests locked in, supported by sets from founders Jacq (who will DJ solo) and Pau (who will drop a live warm-up set with Michael Oswald as Od & Pau). Lize's showcase takes place on Thursday, April 2nd. Patrick Specke and Bruno Schmidt are the guest selectors, and they'll be backed up by label bosses Patrick Poitz and Sebastian Rudolph. These parties will precede each labels' third release. Funhaus is gearing up to drop 12-inch with tracks from Arcarsenal, Tom Ellis and Pablo & Onirik, while Lize readies the a solo EP from little-known producer Levat (who has also released on Pluie/Noir). There's no word on the official release dates, but expect them to hit stores in the coming months.
