- The UK label will reissue Dysnomia in May.
Erased Tapes will give Dawn Of Midi's 2013 LP, Dysnomia, a wide release on May 26th in the US and June 1st in the UK.
The trio of Aakaash Israni, Amino Belyamani and Qasim Naqvi met while studying at CalArts in Valencia, California, and are dedicated to creating structures akin to minimal techno using a setup more commonly utilized in jazz (acoustic bass, drums and piano). Dysnomia was originally released in 2013 via Thirsty Ear, and following that Dawn Of Midi built their reputation as a formidable live act, playing the repetitive loops that define their sound by hand. In 2014, the group opened for acts like Oneohtrix Point Never in LA and supported Erased Tapes flagbearer Nils Frahm on a North American tour. They'll join Frahm once again for a European jaunt around the time of this reissue.
