  • Electronic pioneers Silver Apples will play a show with Holly Herndon at the Empty Bottle on March 31st. The Silver Apples' self-titled 1968 debut utilized a primitive multi-oscillator synthesizer named after the group's founder Simeon. Though he currently employs a computer in the live setting, the sound palette laid out in the original recordings remains surprisingly relevant. Herndon, who just announced her new album, Platform, out May 18th on RVNG and 4AD, will share the stage. Rising Chicago synth wizard Beau Wanzer and Spectrum Spools affiliate Brett Naucke round out the bill. Check out the video for Holly Herndon's new track "Interference" below.
