  • Floating Points and James Holden are releasing an EP made in collaboration with Moroccan musician Maâlem Mahmoud Guinia. Marhaba was made with the esteemed singer and guembri player during a trip to Morocco for the fifth Marrakech Biennale (which also featured Vessel and Biosphere). It comes with a 20-page photo essay featuring work by Camille Blake, and it'll see wide release on April 20th via Eglo Records on vinyl and Border Community digitally. A-side "Mimoum Marhaba" sees Guinia paired up with Floating Points, while flipside "Bania" has him working with James Holden. The Independent Record Label Market in London at Spitalfields this Saturday will have "super advanced copies" on offer, according to a Floating Points Facebook post. The stall, shared with Four Tet, will open at 11 AM.
