Veteran producers Jay Ahern and Stefan Schneider's debut album as Hauntologists is on the way.
The duo's trippy techno tracks, sourced from jams in the studio, have arrived slowly but steadily over the past seven years or so. (They also perform live.) A handful of EPs have been released on Ahern's label Modular Cowboy along with the Hauntologists imprint itself, which is where this self-titled LP, their most ambitious undertaking to date, will see release in mid-May. A translation of the original German liner notes promises "shadow images of bleeps and acid, Sähkö and longing" across its 11 tracks, which will be delivered on vinyl and CD formats.
