The techno legend will play four gigs around the east coast this month, starting in Chicago Thursday night.
Moritz von Oswald has lined up a quick tour of North America.
The German artist is likely best known for the trailblazing dub techno he crafted alongside Mark Ernestus as Basic Channel (and subsequent influential endeavors like Chain Reaction and Maurizio), but remains active on the new music front to this day. Details on the next LP from Moritz von Oswald Trio, now featuring Afrobeat legend Tony Allen, have just been announced.
von Oswald's brief trek around eastern North America, where he'll play hybrid DJ/live sets, starts this Thursday in Chicago with a Slack night at Smart Bar, where Giegling duo Kettenkarussell is also confirmed. He's also on the lineup for The Bunker's Friday night event at Brooklyn club Output also featuring Kettenkarussel, Vril, Derek Plaslaiko and a Control Modulars-presented program that includes Robert A.A. Lowe (AKA Lichens) and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.
Next week, on Thursday the 20th, von Oswald will touch down in Montreal for a night at Newspeak with 50 Weapons affiliate Bambounou. He'll then head to Detroit for a party coinciding with the Movement festival, though details for that gig are still TBA.
Tickets to the gigs in Chicago and Brooklyn are available on RA.
