- The Greek archival label will issue mostly unheard material from Petsetakis in May.
Dimitris Petsetakis' Endless LP collection will drop on Into The Light on May 30th.
The label dug deep into the basement archives of the Pireus, Greece-based producer, who previously only released one record, Missing Links, over the course of his 30-year career. That 1991 LP came out on Utopia, run by fellow Greek ambient maestro Vangelis Katsoulis. (Katsoulis also received the loving reissue treatment from ITL on last year's The Sleeping Beauties collection.) Opener "Liquid" is taken from that album, while the rest of the material is previously unheard. The label says that Petsetakis' music "consists of elements of minimalism, musique concrete, ethnic forms from all over the world."
Into The Light, managed by Ilias Pitsios (the Athens resident who also runs Echovolt Records) and Tako Reyenga (who looks after Red Light Records in Amsterdam), has made it their mission to unearth Greek electronic obscurities.
