  • Nils Frahm will perform at this year's BBC Proms in London, joining A Winged Victory For The Sullen on Wednesday, August 15th. The internationally-renowned classical music festival celebrates its 120th anniversary in 2015, running from July 17th through September 12th at the Royal Albert Hall. In addition to the traditional programme, the venue will host five Late Night Proms, each curated in conjunction with the BBC's national radio stations (6 Music, Radio 4, Asian Network, Radio 1 and 1Xtra). 6 Music presenter Mary Anne Hobbs is the brain behind the August 5th show with the Erased Tapes artists, which will kick off at 10:15 PM. "Nils Frahm and A Winged Victory For The Sullen have changed my life, and the lives of so many of my listeners at the BBC," says Hobbs. "Our Prom is very much the material realisation of a dream for me. The show will have been eleven months in production, and on August 5th we will be staging a new kind of performance at the Royal Albert Hall that the Proms has never before witnessed in its 120 year history." Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, May 16th, at 9 AM GMT from the Royal Albert Hall website. In the meantime, take a look at the trailer for the 2015 festival.
