  • MOSAfter the tragic fires that swept across parts of the Australian capital last month three local promoters Paul Azzopardi, Damion Lepp and Lan Shannon who all experienced the devastation first hand came up with the idea for a massive benefit event to raise money for the victims. The result of their work is to see the three Friction, Ministry of Sound and Rehab NRG names - joining together in what looks to be one of the biggest fund raising events Australia has ever seen. Richard Mergler from Ministry Of Sound Australia said ‘We are very happy to be involved in this benefit and create a unique event for Canberra which not only raises valuable funds but also gives the city a great day and hopefully some relief from the fire disaster.’ A estimated capacity crowd of 8,000 will be filling the picturesque Commonwealth Park Concert Arena on Sunday March 16 for this massive 3 arena affair and they will be witness to DJ’s from all around Australia (and even a few from overseas). The line-up, which is jam packed with much of Australia's finest talent, and so far features the following:
Ministry of Sound Main Stage: Mark Dynamix (Sydney), WOK DJ’s (Declan Lee and Tim Mc Gee – Sydney), Sean Quinn (Melbourne), Ben Korbel (Sydney), Alex Taylor (Sydney), Brendon (Adelaide), Scott Walker (Brisbane), Chris Fraser (Canberra), Mikah Freeman (Canberra) Rehab NRG Arena: DJ Happy Vs LadyChoon (Sydney + Canberra), Lan Shannon (Canberra), Krash (Melbourne), James Livingstone (Canberra), Compound (Melbourne), Deviate (Adelaide), Archie Vs Yoshi (Sydney), DJ Wag (Germany). Friction Arena: Pity the Kid (Sydney), Mark Walton (Sydney), Ransom (Melbourne), Brewster B (Melbourne), Koolism (Canberra), Nino Brown (Sydney), Anjay Vs Nash T (Canberra), Jeff Drake Vs Ryan Pappa (Canberra), Milkbar Nick Vs Mig L (Canberra), Trent Rackus (Sydney)
The festival will be an all ages (and alcohol free) event with a entry price of just $25 with all the proceeds going to charity. Full details below are listed below.
