  • Wolfgang Voigt will drop the tenth Rückverzauberung album, called Nationalpark, on May 25th. The latest in the Kompakt founder's conceptual series was inspired by the opening of Hunsrück-Hochwald, a new national park opening in Germany's Rheinland-Pfalz region in May. It's a 62-minute piece and the soundtrack to an installation meant as an "acoustic hike through the forest," where loudspeakers are placed in a natural environment. The music itself is freeform and improvised, "made of strings and winds [and] processed with electronic means." The CD's ambient focus and forest theme recalls Voigt's classic work as Gas. You can listen to a clip over at the Kompakt website. Tracklist 01. Rückverzauberung 10 Kompakt will release Rückverzauberung 10 / Nationalpark on May 25th, 2015.
